
Awana club is divided into 5 segments: Opening Ceremony, Handbook Time. Council Time, Game Time, and Closing Ceremony.
1. Opening Ceremony: Approximately 10 minutes
This is the disciplined structured start to each club meeting. This time includes:
v Welcoming clubbers
v Group prayer
v Pledges to the American flag and AWANA flag
v Singing AWANA theme song
2. Handbook Time / Small Group Time: Approximately 30 minutes
This time consists of interaction between each individual clubber and their leader
v Handbook sections should be completed or memorized before coming to club
v Clubbers recite Bible verses to their leaders
v Leaders pass off sections according to the AWANA standards below

3. Council Time / Large Group Time: Approximately 30 minutes
This group time involves all the children in each individual club meeting together for:
v Interactive and exciting Biblical instructions, principles, and concepts as they relate to living the Christian life.
v Singing the club songs
4. Game Time: Approximately 30 minutes
This group time offers clubbers the opportunity to participate as team members in highly engaging physical and mental activities. These activities develop team spirit, good sportsmanship and coordination skills.
5. Closing Ceremony: Approximately 5 minutes
This time includes:
v Individual and team awards
v Group prayer
v Club Announcements
